Oven Roasted Vegetables w/ Filfil No.8

Vegan, Organic, Gluten Free, and Healthy with Filfil No. 8

1.5 lbs beets, peeled and chopped to 1" chunks.
2 onions, peeled and chopped to 1" chunks.
1 lbs carrots, peeled and chopped to 1" chunks (or baby carrots, halved lengthwise)
6-7 whole garlic cloves

1/3 cup Filfil No. 8 Sweet & Spicy Garlic Sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tbs balsamic vinegar

1. Peels go to the compost :)
2. Place all vegetables in a 9" x 13" deep baking dish
3. Mix, pour and rub the liquids into the veggies. Make sure all the veggies are well coated
4. Place in the oven at 400 degrees for 50 minutes. Every 15 minutes or so mix the veggies with the liquids and return to the oven quickly.
5. Take out of the oven and let sit for 15 minutes. Then eat!!

This dish is a great pair with brown rice, salad or salmon!

Scrumptious BBQ Pot Roast W/ Filfil No. 8

Roast Ingredients:
1 pot roast (about 4 pounds), such as bottom round or chuck
1 teaspoon vegetable oil

Sauce Ingredients:
1/2 cup Filfil No.8
1/2 cup Filfil No.6
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 tablespoon bottled mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 large onion (1/2 pound), chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
Heat oven to 300 degrees F.
Put the vegetable oil in large ovenproof Dutch oven, and brown meat well from all sides - about 15 minutes. In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients well and add to the pot. Bring to a boil. Place in oven and bake, covered, for 3 to 4 hours, turning meat every hour, until fork-tender. Remove from oven and let stand at least 30 minutes. Remove meat from pot. Skim fat if you wish. Slice beef and serve with sauce.
